Wait, can we rethink this "not being the weekend anymore" thing?

Here is a sad truth: I inevitably get all my best ideas when I am in no position to implement them. Like in the shower before I leave for work. Here is a short list of things I did or want to do right this moment:
  • Write fic about Daniel Elkins, about whom I have had a Theory ever since "In the Beginning."
  • Work on my NaNo, since I've realized that I'm totally getting nothing done tomorrow, and since I've actually figured out how to structure the middle, and all of a sudden there's all this exciting stuff to figure out.
  • Watch "Tall Tales," which is one of those episodes that I love but which I have overwatched, because it's one that you show to other people all the time to get them hooked on the show.

    Alas, alas, alas.

I will say for the record, though, that I smell really good right now. I got this new soap over the weekend -- lemon clove, and guys, this thing is like a brick. The size is astonishing and vaguely hilarious. But oh man, it smells awesome. Yay, unexpected discount luxury items from Marshall's!

Also, great article in the Trib about why Obama and Chicago are awesome. I'm so bright-eyed and naive; I never have any idea that people think of Chicago as this Rust Belt wasteland. I mean, have you freaking seen my beautiful city? But yeah, the picture of Obama as a steely-eyed idealist -- I like that formulation.

P.S. NEW HEADER. OH DEAN AND YOUR HI-RES STUBBLE.
