Getting that image online was like a Rube-Goldberg machine.

Oho, victory is mine! I have successfully changed the header on an Expressive layout. Thank you thank you, s2expressive! This is one of my favorite images of Death period -- Sandman-only fans may not recognize it, as it's from Lucifer #25 (I'm guessing -- too lazy to count out the issues in the trade). I'll have to spice up the left side a little, but I'm sure something can be arranged.

Speaking of comics, when was anyone on my friendslist going to mention the absurdity that is 1602: Fantastick Four? The first one was amusing enough -- I mean, they kidnap William Shakespeare in a flying ship, for crying out loud! -- but the second issue is just incomprehensible. I had cornball amusement factor hopes for this one, as opposed to 1602: New World, which just made me weep blood, but no, the title beyond the initial Neil run has failed me again, alas.

Met up with celticmaus today -- yow! I am loud and shameless, and Mike is bemused and amused as ever. Lets just say comparisons to Sally Struthers' Save the Children and AnimatedBliss.com were made and abetted. It was two-plus hours of rollicking good catching-up.

I am reconsidering my conception of Under See. The whole "dark literary fantasy" revelation kind of shifted my focus for the impending literary magazine, and though I love the title, I'm not sure it fits quite for that genre. Oh! Speaking of genre, I discovered SpecFicWorld.com, which makes me purr. I'm really getting interested in the whole business of publishing of a sudden. It would, of course, help if I had a manuscript to offer up on the altar.

People on my friendslist are pimping yuletide, which... looks amazing. I am not certain I should do it, given that I've been on-time with about two ficathons in my life. Also, NaNo. But -- but -- but -- obscurity crowned and reveled in! Hmm. Conundrums and decisions of our times.
