My kingdom for a cure for the common cold

Feb 10, 2016 08:20

I spent an undetermined amount of time dreaming last night/this morning about how I just had to find out if a definition of a word was what I dreamed it was, so as soon as I woke up, I turned to my phone, squinted and was immediately disappointed that "bardio" is is "barre cardio" and not "Shakespeare cardio."

I am afflicted with some low-key but ugly chest cold thing -- it's not dramatic, but my energy is down in the pits, and the coughing, while occasional, is really unfun. Now, of course, I also have to think about medication interactions, so after a sort of frustrating trip to the CVS two blocks away (more than I'd been outside for two days), I've got some Mucinex or something. It seems to work. I really don't want this to turn into a longer, bigger thing. (I was so listless that I freaking ordered lunch yesterday, which is very, very weird for me. And, because I am not yet in the "clean all the things!" part of my ability to Deal With Apartment Shit, I managed to kick over one of the two soups I'd ordered, which... ugh. And let's not talk about the state of my kitchen sink.)

Anyway, whine whine whine, moan moan moan, gripe gripe gripe. I have an interview this afternoon with an expert on crowding; while replying to his email last night on my phone, autocorrect turned "vice versa" into "vice Versace," which... I am very glad I caught. Still have to actually write up the questions, ugh. Still haven't seen last night's Agent Carter, so I'm avoiding basically all social media until then. It will have to be a reward for accomplishing something else, because ugh, I have writing, research, &c &c &c to do. Plus this interview. Bluh, ugh, more etceteras.
