So I promised a friend that we'd double-header the Cap movies, and now that I have to wait for her to be available, watching those movies is kind of all I can think about. As a distraction, I have some fics to rec. Mostly MCU, but one TWW crossover that's just delightful.

Guys. Guys. Guys. Lyrical, intense, thoroughly researched, character-driven Jim Morita fic, just before and during the war, including internment. It's in second person, if that's a dealbreaker for you, but for me, oh gosh, be still, my heart!
What the Nazis want to own isn't the radio waves, it's silence, really.

Edwin Jarvis learns his way around the empty places where Steve Rogers used to be. The note on this is "Do you ever cry because you love Peggy Carter so much?" and yes. Yes, I agree absolutely and utterly.
Captain Rogers was not part of the foundation their relationship was built on, not a mutual acquaintance. Jarvis wonders sometimes if that makes it easier for Howard to relax around him and Anna.

Just some great team shenanigans from the early days of the SSR. This fic likes Jack Thompson, though I didn't find it tipped into apologism. Read this if you just like teams and dynamics and co-workers becoming at ease with each other.
Peggy and Daniel were sitting in the bed of a vegetable truck, watching the clean-up crew clear away the detritus that twelve crates of exploding cabbages and two boxes of beets created, passing between them a bag of roasted peanuts when Jack arrived.

This is sort of Peggy/Howard if you squint, but what I like most about it is the radio play that's interspersed.
"You like it?" Howard leaned back in his chair with a crooked grin, hands laced behind his head. "I kicked in a little extra sponsorship money if they agreed to give me script approval."

This is a The West Wing/The Thick of It crossover, and I only know about Malcolm Tucker from Tumblr, but frankly, watching C.J. banter and commiserate with a foulmouthed Scot is more than worth the price of admission.
She stares at him. "Tone it down."
"Yeah," he says. "See, your guy gets up there and talks about fucking macroeconomic destabilisation or some bollocks and the PM's got to follow by whipping out his wee intellectual cock and waving it about a bit. And nobody wants to see that, darling, it's fucking tragic, understand?"
