First order of business: the
Yuletide tagset is open. I really did think I'd be as uninspired as I've been over the past several years, with only a handful of canons grabbing me, but I'm pleasantly surprised, especially in the weirder microfandoms and film options. Link goes to the announcement/corrections post, in case you're worried about load time, but the AO3 link itself is
here.
Now. Okay. This is important. I just bought a tiny Moleskine to use for train-writing. It needs decorating; it's a lovely shade of green right now, but it really needs something to help me find it quickly and realize which side is the front. This means I've been going through Etsy for vinyl-cut stickers that aren't meant for your laptop. This is a much smaller number of vendors than literally any trip to the Renegade Craft Fair would have me believe. And yet, a few good links for the road:
I really, really love calaveras, but I'm also hyperaware that they're, you know, not mine. However,
MisNopalesArt makes really, really great prints and stickers, including rockabilly birds, Loteria designs and nerd icons, including, yes, Captain America, the Batmobile and Shakespeare.
sTiCkALot is one of those vendors that probably shouldn't be on Etsy; it's all very college town-commercial designs, like Marilyn Monroe covered in ink and flipping you off, plus a lot of pot leaf art and faux-Banksy. However, there's also some cute stuff that I can't entirely resist, like this pow!, a nostalgia rocket and a blank tape, which is my nostalgia versus Baby Boomer nostalgia. (I enjoy this one too, but I suspect it comes from something, and I... need to know what that something is.)
nocek has SO MANY CUTE CAPTAIN AMERICA STICKERS. Right now the designs seem to be stars with team-ups (original Steve and Bucky! Steve and Peggy! Winter Widow!), but you can also nab paper doll-style WWII dress uniforms or Team Goobers falling.
gazdowna: also full of really cute Cap stuff, including bored Captain America and Steve hiding behind things.
