I'm so happy about everything right now. It's the most perfect day outside, I had a wonderful visit with my dad, I got to see some of my Medill people and I got to wear the most purple graduation robes of all time.
(
isjustprogress and I got to spend two or three hours on Thursday just catching up in person and gushing about Sebastian Stan, whom she has met and taken photos with. Also, she made me buy the Matt Fraction Hawkeye, and I'm in love. It's pretty much the greatest. Thank you forever for giving me the push, A. ♥)
Hilariously, the officious toad of an outgoing administrator who made me Hulk out for most of last summer looked at me as I was waiting to cross the stage, then left out my middle name as she announced me, totally unenthusiastically. TROLLLLLL IN THE DUNGEON. Bwahahaha, ohmygosh. But I had a good time! My cousins were there too, and my dad and my advisor got to meet, along with one of my very most favorite teachers, whom I didn't even expect to be there, and of course meeting other people's parents is always a treat.
Dad and I ate super well the whole time he was here too, ohmygosh. True fact: The best Greek restaurant in Chicago is actually
in Lincolnwood. (The below is from the Swedish breakfast place we went to the morning of graduation. I really like it as a portrait, and wish my camera wasn't so terrible. I am considering getting an iPhone if only because I cannot stand having such a shitty camera anymore. If there's a Droid recommendation anyone has too, please let me know.)
But yeah, after a good time hanging with friends last night, I came home and accidentally stayed up until 1:30 poring through the Sebastian Stan tag on Tumblr, because apparently PhillyCon is the best thing that's ever happened to the universe and SebStan is actually the nicest, sweetest dude in the world. (Who gets in trouble for giving away too many hugs and free photo ops? WHAT A GOOBER.)
(And it's not like it would have been a surprise, considering 1. how he has no future projects listed on IMDb and 2. how many gym photos he's been showing up in lately, but
shanology has put together a
persuasive case for why he'll be in Age of Ultron. I'm just saying, a year in which I have to wait for more Winter Soldier is way better than two years.)
So yes. A super good weekend, with high chances for ending very nicely. I'm a master for real now. Happy Sunday, all!
