Okay, that was nothing earned.
Wow. Okay. I watched that episode of Sherlock. And in addition to being baffled by the utter, motts-inducing, self-indulgent fanfic-ishness of it (in the worst, most unrestrained way), I just found it... so incredibly mean-spirited.
Like, Mary Morstan is GREAT, but I wish she wasn't so quick to take a shine to Sherlock. I really hated watching Sherlock exploit and mock John's grief: it felt childish and out of character. The way the narrative shits all over fans was incredibly off-putting.
Basically I don't see how this was an enjoyable thing to watch, unless you really wanted that V for Vendetta crossover...??????
