Real feelings about dream people
Woke up from terrible nightmare at 6:30 after falling asleep around... 1:30? The part I remember now is that my family was out somewhere, for Thanksgiving, and Nora, my first, best beloved basset, went missing. We were all pretty confident we'd find her -- dogs bolt sometimes, for no good reason -- but I wound up leading everyone through a long, long hospital. Nobody else in my family cared: they were chattering and wanted to go shopping. My mom was with us, and everything was normal. (I have this dream mom who is very like her, but not entirely, and I only notice the difference after I'm awake.) At last I got some directions: the door on the right, and then the first right. It was a waiting room for people whose dogs had died, mostly violently (hit by cars). That final door had a sign over it that read IN DENIAL. I woke up with my heart thrashing, and it didn't stop for more than an hour.
Anyway. I checked the Yuletide request/offer list after falling in love with all of
samskeyti's requests and saw that The Hollow Crown RPF now has two requests and no offers. This hurts my heart: if no one wants to give me Joe/Michelle, at the very least the world should get
DJWhishaw fic.
(I have a signal boost post for reblogging on Tumblr, if anyone wants to seize that for their own purposes. A long chain of people pleading for offers with less than 36 hours for signing up left?)
