Attention got! A quick bit of link-mongering, because these things all threw themselves at me at once, and how am I supposed to ignore a sign like that?
First, you adore the BBC Shakespeare Retold: Much Ado About Nothing, right? How could you not? DLEWIS IS BENEDICK. Sarah Parrish is UTTERLY MAGNIFICENT AND PERFECT as Beatrice. They're local news anchors and they hate each other! IT'S PERFECT. And it needs more icons. Luckily,
there are some! Unfortunately, most of them are of Billie Piper as Hero, who is basically the second least interesting part, but you take what you can get.
Also, New Yorkers, I am sad and jealous that I cannot come up before January 30, because your city is hosting
a run of Cymbeline, which I have never seen performed and which was part of my Fundies degree and which is one of my favorite nonsensical Shakespeare plays EVER. Somebody go and tell me if it's good!
Chicago does have its bright spot, though:
Funk It Up About Nothin' is, admittedly, SUPER INTRIGUING. And relatively affordable! Anyone interested in catching a show? It starts this week and runs through February 13.
