As someone with an old lady name, I feel I have a stake in reclaiming these for the young.

Before I unload the results of a temporary bout of madness, some links from this morning so far:
  • From the lens of
notabutterfly, straight-up surreal real life awesome.
  • This man is my favorite. (Seriously, the best teacher I've had at iO.)
  • A TNR review of Long for This World: The Strange Science of Immortality

Okay. Okay. I don't know how this happened. One minute I was tooling along, just doing my thing, the next I had to find EVERY VINTAGE BROOCH ON ETSY. Now I have to remind myself that brooches, along with scarves, are available pretty much everywhere that sells vintage things, so I should buy one or two here in Chicago before I start going nuts online.

But these are just so pretty.

I think if my mom knew about this, she'd laugh at me and probably tell me to go raid some of her jewelry boxes. (Anyone who wants to know where these all come from, obviously there are a zillion people selling these, but the ones above came from here.)

jptiger had better hope I have better things to talk about when I grab him for lunch today.
