Shake it all the time

Thanks to
nextian, herself a fabulous feature of Dreamwidth, I came across this fandom subscribing meme, and have indeed met some snazzy people right off the bat! New people, hello -- just fair warning, I am moving this very weekend, so you'll probably either hear me griping about it a lot or possibly total radio silence save for work hours. But that shouldn't last for long.

Until that happens, though, I would like to get down with one of my favorite things in fandom: drabble request prompts. Pick a line from "Heavens Hold the Sun" by the inestimable Kris Delmhorst, give me a character or two, and I will write a short genfic in the comments. I love secondary/supporting characters and villains, AUs, crossovers and crack, along with all your normal soul-searching vignettes. Fandoms include Band of Brothers, Supernatural, Studio 60, The West Wing, Chuck, BoB RPF and any others you know I know and might try.1) Long time, no sound, long years, waiting and waiting. (

2) I hear it now, too loud, too strange to ignore. (

3) I'll watch that road, my heart steady as a snare drum. (mardia)
4) When you get here I'm gonna meet you like the ocean meets the shore. (bloodygoodgirl)

5) Don't hang that head, you know it's nothing I ain't seen before. (foofighter0234)
6) Bring me your trash, your love as messy as a plum.
7) Bring me your weight, your shame, and the devil on your shoulder. (
allfireburns)
8) When you get here I'm gonna hold you like the heavens hold the sun.

9) It's done, now here you come, smelling of the struggle. (exsequar)
10) I've worn that face before and it always leaves a stain. (clayworshippers)
11) Brokedown screen door, don't bother with the bell.
12) When you get here I'm gonna greet you like the desert greets the rain. (skew_whiff)
