Help! is still a splendid, delightful, wonderful movie, and the Beatles are still the greatest band of all time. I truly have difficulty understanding how someone could not like them -- and I'm not trying to convince people who don't, that's totally your right. But my friend Clay is in town, and he has the whole remastered discography, and guys... it's like hearing them for the first time again. What a gift. They're just. Everything is so taut and lean and passionate and wry. I love them so, so much.
My amaryllis at work bloomed! And holy cow, did it ever. Everyone who walks in or by my office, myself included, gasps when they see it. I'll put up a video soon. Yes, a video.
