Daddy's blunt little instrument

Okay, I don't ever have kooky theories about how plots are going to unfold in ongoing canons. But I've been sitting on this one for a while, and I wonder if anyone else has any thoughts. Granted, I also haven't really fleshed out an actual argument, seeing as mine is based on one episode from two seasons ago. But I'm curious about what people think, and what the implications might be.

This remains one of my favorite sequences of the entire series: 3.10, "Dream a Little Dream of Me." I was struck by this image when the episode first aired, and now that we've introduced the angel mythology and Dean's role as the archangel's vessel... was this planted two years ago? Has the Archangel Michael already appeared onscreen?

I still consider that third still one of the most beautiful and terrifying shots of the show. I know some people are floating the idea that Dean is Michael, or that Michael is trapped inside of him already somehow. I have no opinions on that aspect, but to my thinking, either way, that wing is far too well placed to be coincidental. ("I'm you," the dream!Dean says. That's scary enough.)

And if this thinly constructed theory does have something to it, shit, what kind of archangel would say the kinds of things other!Dean did?

peer pressure was real (spn)
