memorial thingy by washington square park

Ok so on the Royal Street side of Washington Square park (in the Marigny Triangle, between Elysian Fields and Frenchmen), there was an old pay phone that someone had decorated with fake flowers and broken Christmas lights and such. No clue what happened to it. My girlfriend and I liked it when we saw it though. Figured the city just got it for some reason. That or that jack-hole who goes around the quarter ripping flyers off the poles and such.

I think his deal is that he doesn't like free advertising. But this wasn't advertising anything...it was like the equivalent of leaving those big floral arrangements on the side of the road after someone dies in a car wreck.

Actually, his thing is eradicating "graffiti." His definition of graffiti is slightly askew, so anything is possible as far as he is concerned.

Yeah. When we saw him last time, he was in the process of ripping down one of those "missing" posters. :(
