This week I got three books:
Runaways #29 (okay, but the delays really kill the book and I'm disappointed on something missing)
Ultimate X-Men #91 (interesting, Kirkman manages to make Apocalypse more threatening than the 616 version)
and from last week,
X-Factor #28 (good, David's almost good enough to make me not care about how much I dislike the X-books now)
Full review as usual at my
comic reviews site for anyone interested.
WOrk wasn't bad. The walk to the comic store however, was a bit painful. My shoes need replacing and walking in them right now's a bit uncomfortable. By the end of the 2.5 hour walk my left foot was sore as hell, and I was limping through most of it. Ah well.
Writing cycle starts again tomorrow, and I'm a bit dismayed that I'm not really excited about any ideas to be working on. I was thinking of trying to go out of my comfort zone and try to write something actiony or maybe horror, but no ideas really presented themselves. I suspect it's part of the whole winter depression things. Ideas don't come as easy. So it looks like it'll be another cycle of forcing things.
In non-cycle related news, I've recently become interested in an old project of mine, a comic idea I wrote the first 5 pages of for a Writer's Workshop Segment. I kinda had the idea of expanding it into a full comic script, and am sort of working on ideas to make it happen. But because such things don't really have a word count I have to work on it in my free time and not part of a cycle.
