Dream Foo: My Mind Comes up with new TV shows, and Harry Potter?

So, I had my first (I think) Harry Potter dream... except, I didn't have a dream I was in the HP universe, or any of its characters were near me... I specifically had a dream that I was an extra in the next Harry Potter movie. I never really saw any of the main actors, except from afar. Oh, wait, I did see the guy who played Hagrid, because I accidentally got 'too into my character' and followed along while he was rushed to safety (he'd fallen or taken ill or something), until they had to tell me, "Uh, you aren't in this scene". But other than that, not really, nor did I try to, mostly just a bunch of other extras playing Hogwarts students (which is also what I was).

In between scenes where I was in the background (I remember one where I was with a bunch of other students on an upper floor looking down on some of the main characters who were doing something on a lower one, and sort of jeering or cheering at them, depending on house), I talked with other extras. At one point there was Obnoxious Guy, who, although we'd only just met and I barely knew him, introduced us both as though we were long time friends, and I was like, uh, dude, I don't know you. I only mention that because of how the dream ended. We were gathered together for another scene, and then suddenly there were weird lights, and everybody else seemed frozen except for me, and Obnoxious Guy, who seemed to be casting a spell, a real spell. I suddenly had the instinct that he was casting some sort of evil soul-sucking spell, and I was the only one who could move because I had a previously undiscovered immunity to magic. So I ran up to him and punched him in the stomach, reasoning I suppose that since in D&D distraction like getting punched ruins a spell, it might so here. It did, and in fact the backfire caused him to be significantly weakened. Then, somebody else in the extra crew (who I think also was someone from the old XET days, but I can't remember exactly who) came out and cast another spell imprisoning Obnoxious Guy's soul - she was some kind of hunter, and he was an evil wizard, but she didn't know who he was until he cast the spell, and then she was already bound. Anyway, because I'd just saved everyone in the movie from being killed horribly, the director of the movie decided he liked me, and that he would give me a speaking line in the movie. That's about where I woke up.

I'll also note that the dream was _very slightly_ lucid. I wasn't fully lucid, but there was a small part of my mind that was awake and sort of guiding things. Almost as though reality was warped slightly by my desires.

And, in the way it sometimes does, my half-asleep mind created two series ideas out of dream fragments and the disoriented thoughts between waking from the dream and getting back to sleep. Since the writer's strike may have hurt the new pilot season, Hollywood is welcome to buy these ideas from me to make a new show out of if they so desire! ;)

Idea one: Insertion Team -
It's a modern day Quantum Leap, except instead of one person bouncing randomly through time, putting right what once went wrong, it's a group of three trained specialists who 'leap' (or rather, are 'inserted') into the lives and bodies of ordinary people to complete their missions. Now, as to what their missions are, well, because of the QL connection my sleeping mind decided they were also time travel missions, but they were sort of repair missions, trying to correct the timeline due to a disastrous attempt to rewrite time before, and the butterfly effect of all that followed. It was sort of taking a "history _wants_ to go back to normal, so if you get it close enough in enough places, it will" view of time. But I suppose you could also do it without the time travel connection.

Idea two: Stick Man -
Named, for some bizarre reason, because at one point the main character was named Adam Stick.

In any event, in this one, the main character is a guy with superman like powers, and a Clark Kent like identity where he's a bumbling fool. Except, the Clark Kent identity isn't a disguise... he really _is_ a bumbling fool. He trips over his own feet, and tends to use his powers in a petty day to day way to get through life - using super speed to rush to the bathroom in the middle of a meeting, and back, without anybody noticing, etc (that part was actually in a dream). He doesn't fight crime, as a rule, because the wrong people always seem to get hurt when he does.

Hey, I never said they were _good_ ideas, just that Hollywood was welcome to buy them off me. It's my mind at 2am, what do you expect, quality work?

dreams, my mind at 2am, ideas
