I kind of have a bone to pick with my CC friends. First off, I love ya'll to death...but there's something I just don't understand:
1) Why is it that Nick & I go down to CC a couple times each year, but no one comes up to ATX? I mean, aside from the fact that we go to CC (primarily) to spend time with my folks.
2) Why doesn't it seem to be enough that Nick & I drove 3 hours to get to CC, but ya'll can't drive 30 minutes to come up to my folks' house to visit with us? We don't feel we should always have to drive the additional 30 minutes to go to your house or meet you at some bar.
3) Now I understand many of our CC visits are spur-of-the-moment and that they catch a lot of you off guard...so I can understand how the timing can be wrong for possible meet-ups while we're down there. But at the same time, no one seems to ever try to adjust their schedule to make time for us while we are down there.
Look I can understand Nick & I don't have kids, first off, so we're more flexible with our traveling schedule...and secondly, I realize that we apparently make more money than many of my CC friends, since we seem to be able to afford to travel more often than they do. But seriously folks - when I've paid for the gas and driven the distance, the least I expect is the occasional CC friend to take that 30 minute trip my way to hang out. Is that too much to ask for after several years worth of great friendship and continued closeness?

With that said, perhaps I can convince Jessie to make that mini-trip up my way while we're down there. I'm sure a lot can be accomplished if I can just have a couple hours alone with Jessie (to listen to her, be there for her...and possibly give my opinion/advice). Who knows...
