Interwoven with the threads of life
carefully threaded to fit together
just so
Lives that you'd think would never go
Crimson roses line the road
and a little yellow house sits at the end
A young woman sits on the porch
rocking gently back and forth
and singing her baby to sleep
A man sits at the other end
watching over his wife and child
protectively
Fall leaves scatered
along the path into the nearby wood
almost like they are trying to tell you something
"What do the fall leaves mean mommy"?
They tell the tale of a family tradgity
The one no one will speak of
but all know of...
The tradgity that got a little boy killed
a man in jail
and a woman working herself to death
Those tiny little graves
hidden under the leaves
Don't worry
They wouln't reveal their dark secret
After all
They're
just
leaves
"Nothing sweety, there just leaves".
