Food for thought

Below are some peoems to get you thinking... Read and Review!

This one I wrote today. Not really sure what mad me come up with it but it poses a lot of really good questions and I think its beautiful...

Time

Time, in its endless search for a conclusion,
Has found itself many beginnings,
But never the completion.

What will happen when time finally reaches the door,
And slams it in our faces,
As we stand confused.

No clocks to watch, no order to the passing moments,
Eternity will end now, and last forever,
For each eternity is different.

For one, eternity may be a kiss,
Another, maybe the dentist,
Both ends of the spectrum.

Time will last for eternity, and eternity only for a short time,
But if time slams the door, where is eternity,
To each his own.

Time is important in dealing with destiny,
If your destiny follows an event,
Does not the event follow time?

If time and eternity are one, and destiny follows time,
Does it take an eternity to find your destiny,
Or does destiny follow it's own order?

Ah, but order brings chaos! And, chaos brings order,
Destiny... does it bring order or chaos?
But to survive, we must have both.

For if we never had chaos, would we understand order?
Would we understand chaos without it?
Maybe...

Maybe our destiny is truly finding order in the chaos,
Or... finding the chaos in order,
But, doesn't that take time?

Would you love me?
Would you find me absurd

If I should let the truth fall from my lips

The veils of deception cast aside

Would you think me weak

If I allowed my tears to cascade freely

In streams that coursed down my cheeks

Would you still say I'm beautiful

If I stood naked before you

Baring my soul for you to see

Would you gaze upon me with tenderness

If I danced in the darkness in my heart

And shied away from the light of the righteous

Would your love for me flourish

If I was a destitute waif, impoverished

Because life's meaning has passed me by?

Would you still yearn to kiss me

If I was distressed by illness

Not of the body, but of the mind

Would you still believe me to embody perfection

If my exterior shattered and left

Not a girl, but a woman with child

Would you walk by my side

If God's grace had left me

And the world frowned upon me with scorn

Would your devotion fade to nothing

If I spoke of the strife that

Scorches my skin with scars

Would your words still be faithful

If I allowed you to corrupt me

To travel to places no man has been before

Would you dare to permit me

To place the weight of my future on your frame

Eternally intertwined with your own

Would you ever forsake my heart

If I let you hold it in your palm

To love, honor and cherish

For all the days of your life?
