So I got girly the other day and painted my nails *FYI Jaimi, that 60 second polish- VERY YES!* and by today they had started to chip off my fingers. Toes are fine, strangely but I guess the fingernails get bent more frequently. I would've bet money on my having polish remover in the house somewhere, because I don't remember using it all. However, can I find it? No.
I decide to search the web because driving 15 minutes each way for polish remover is silly. Tried rubbing alcohol for s&g's, but no go. On the beautiful interwebs, someone suggests using a fresh coat of topcoat or polish and then wiping away the old polish before the new layer dries. Sounds crazy but I tried it.
My goodness, how could I have been a girl for 29 years and not known that?!?!? It actually works! I never go through a bottle of polish, so using more polish to remove old polish is a win-win. Even better, using really old polish that's icky and separated to remove the polish on my fingers!
If this is old news for you, humor me. I have no sisters and Mom never shared beauty secrets and most of my friends growing up are/were tomboys. I lacked girly edumacation.
