Ooh, did you get to meet Green Day? I remember you were quite the fan, not so long ago! I bet that was HUGELY exciting! (I fear I have not the slightest idea who Dan Majerle is, nor even what the Phoenix Suns are, beyond my assumption that they are a sports team of some kind, lol.)
Talking with Dan (well, if you can call it "talking with" Dan, lol) was fantastic. He was, really, just altogether lovely. Extremely intelligent, articulate, and thoughtful. I was already in full crush-mode, but he seriously impressed me in person, on every level.
I just saw a snippet on that idiotic TMZ show about how "Daniel Radcliffe hates his fans" because, as they were shepherding him out after the TimesTalk, there were fans lined up outside the SUV his handlers were putting him into, and there was one girl practically inside the car door, begging him for an autograph, and he didn't stop. Um, because they were very literally shoving him into the car -- in the video clip, there were four hands pushing his back as he got into the car. When they "escorted" him off the stage inside where he was signing, he did his best to reach out and sign another autograph or two as he went past the people waiting, and the handlers on either side of him actually grabbed one sleeve and the back of his jacket and pulled him away from the people who wanted his autograph. It makes me so frustrated to see sensationalism like that, when he truly couldn't have gone out of his way more to be accommodating to people.
Dan Majerle = 90's basketball phenom! Yeah, I'm SO not into sports, but it was a big era for the Suns and they ALMOST won the championship against the Chicago Bulls. Big year...good times, good times. ;)
Anyway, that's crazy about what happened after the show...poor baby.
