An extra update out of sheer dorkyness.

Well,me and clifton spent like an hour the other day contemplating...who would be the Ultimate Superhero Team? Yes, I know we're nerds,shutup. The rules were,it had to be seven people,no greater,no less. And it could be a crossover--as in all superheroes apply;Marvel,DC,and Image(although you shouldn't count on hearing about any Image heroes seeing as how they're just immoral vigilantes).

1.)Number one has got to be Superman(DC). I mean lets face it...he does everything. On top of covering the biggest city in the world in justice,he maintains an alter ego as a reporter. REPORTERS are busy!!!! lol. He's the ultimate muscle,seeing as how hes so frickin tough and has like 10 powers. Look,he kicked Mongul and Doomsday in the shins...and therefor is leader.

2.)At close second,as far as leadership goes--is Silver Surfer(MARVEL). Clifton would probably disagree here,but I personally love the Surfer, his power is virtually limitless and he can change things on a molecular level. There is almost no beating that. The guy beat up Galactus, Thanos, Dr. Doome (with F4), and Mephisto. Amazing victories to be sure. This secured him spot #2.

3.)Next up has got to be Green Lantern(DC). He can create ANYTHNING. Theres no beating that. The only question is--which one? Well,im gunna pick Kyle Rayner and theres 2 reasons. 1.)Kyle Rayner,while not being the strongest,is the most creative and thus has the ultimate potential (being a graphic artist) 2.)Hal Jordan (his succesor) will fulfill another spot.

4.)At the OMG You Dont Wanna Mess With That Dude spot...is Spectre(DC) who is Hal Jordan as the Angel of Death basically. Nuff said.

The last three spots fill up exceptionally quick. You have amazing characters like Dr. Fate, Captain America, Superboy(hes not lame..you've prolly only seen a tv show bout him), Supergirl, The Martian Manhunter, Dr. Strange, Batman, Angel/xman/Wolverine/Cyclops/Iceman/Forge/Nightcrawler (xmen), Captain Britian. All the likes. However...I have to fill them up like this.

5.)The Detective spot has to goto Nightwing(DC) (Clifton would cry). Now,Batman is the better Detective,thats for sure. But hes also a little more anti-social. I'd say Bruce Wayne's funds were neccessary to support the group,but my next selection takes care of funding. Night wing is a perfecxt blend of socialite and Detective smarts.

6.)The Pyscic spot...was there ever any doubt? Professor X(MARVEL). I guess it COULD goto Emma Frost,Jean Grey, or Psylocke. But...Prof X is just so dang cool! As the father of the X-men he knows how to lead and although a liberal politically (that was a joke..) he is a careful thinker.

7.)The last spot falls to your tinker/mechanic/scientist. When your in a tight spot you need someone who can make an interstellar-teleporter out of a toothbrush and wireless mouse--all in less than 10 seconds. Iron Man(MARVEL) of the Avengers. I know someone will say "beast(xmen) is a scientist,plus hes super duper whooper strong!" Egh. Beast is blue. Not to mention his expertise are Biology and Genetics. Im not gunna be creating clones,so...no need. If we need that particular expertise,Superman can call Beast in. We'll pay him overtime. =) No doubt someone will also say Forge...but Forge isnt a fighter,and this is a small team.

So there ya have it. Now..they aren't the UBER-POWERFUL team. But they are certinly affective. They would make a good team effort and somehow always wiggle out of their situation in a BELIEVABLE way (*cough* JLA *cough*).

The final tally is
Marvel=3
DC=4
Image=0

Now don't get me wrong. I like Image. Genesis 13 and Neon Dragon are two of my favorite comics. However im afraid Image just doesn't compare to the raw power and ingenuity of DC and Marvel.
