I have this tendency of walking home alone to an empty bed after seeing a Lynch film for the first time.
Now mind you, I was very much late on the bandwagon as these things go, I saw "Lost Highway" only a year and a half or so ago (and walked home alone at 3:30 AM to have nightmares about Crispin Glover...for no particular reason I can muster, and in all truth I had been offered a slightly less lonely but inconvenient alternative), a similar situation occured with "Mullholand Drive", though Eraserhead I did see curled up with a bedfellow.
Anyways, the point of this is I just saw "Inland Empire" at the university cinema
and umm I suppose the point of all this beyond that is that seeing these things and then walking home in the dark and then being alone is uncomfortable
though either I've gotten over it, or the end of Inland Empire lends itself to doing away with some of the uncomfortableness
I'll have to think about it
as it is I have to sleep
