... Which means she's actually trotting over to wrap her hands around the bug, because when you grow up with Sora waving creepy-crawlies in your face and going "LOOK KAIRI ISN'T IT COOL", you tend to build up a tolerance to big caterpillars. ]

[that's a tone Sora uses pretty rarely, and it's enough to startle Metal Chocobo into letting go. luckily, she hadn't stood to her full, almost 7-feet tall height, so the fall back down shouldn't be too far.]

My mom? [Sora stares at Metal Chocobo as she pokes around for another bug-- it takes a few minutes, but he does see it. now that he thinks about it, he's vaguely reminded about how his mom used to try to get to get him to eat his vegetables.]
