Fish Day (weekend) Memories:

When we left to go find Grandma Dee, Flashie drew a pic of the tractor in front of us. There was hay all over the place. Then when we arrived near the place she worked, we got out of the car looking all over the city for her. We even went to Walgreens, and then she pulled up in her car about an hour later while we were sitting in our car waiting for her. Then when we left with Grandma Dee, we listened to the tape of a Harry Potter book all the way to her house (LOL). Then when she wanted to stop for icecream we didn't want to because we don't like icecream (I felt bad...). But it was nice of her to offer it anyway. Now if she offers to stop this year, we should because they probably have smoothies and what not.

So when we arrived at the house, we arranged our things in the tent, and then chilled on the hammock while Brindle Back bothered us (ha). That's when we started to make fun of Neil. After all this, I think we ended up going inside and drinking soda and eating cherries. Then Grandma Dee had to got to the store with Dale so she could get chips and dip for us to eat. Oh wait. I think we ate cherries and drank soda when Grandma Dee and Dale came back from the store with the chips and everything. So we waited inside...when it was dark out, talking to Flashie about various things. Then I think when we got in our tent we got ready for bed, and starting making up Neil stories, which was really fun (and hilarious)! Then the next morning when we went inside, we thought it was Neil moving around in the bed. But I don't think it was. I think it was Flashie's uncle. Then I remember vividly stepping over the gate between the kitchen and dining room and Grandma Dee telling us, "Oh, that's Tom in the living room. He's one of Dale's friends." Then Tom stopped reading his newspaper, waved, and then said, "HI!" He freaked me out.

Anyway, the only three places I remember eating at was the deli restaurant where we ate outside (with Tom and his least favorite drink- purple Gatorade (or was it pink??). We had a turkey sandwhich, Flashie had a grilled cheese, and Grandma Dee I think ordered like a salad, but it had chicken in it so she had to trade her meal with crazy Tom. Then I also remember eating at the pizza place outside and watching a young family trying to control her two children. And then we ate at a coffee shop, outside again, and we ordered a strawberry smoothie. It was good at first, but then it just got nausiating.

Ok. I only remember specific parts of the atcual Fish Day festival. We went to the parade...which Grandma Dee said she was going to play an accordian, but she was actually with Dale on a motorcycle (lol). The parade lasted like two hours long. Oh yeah. Before the parade we watched people sweat and drip when they were running the 8 mile race. That was interesting. I could never run that far. I'd probably pass out. Well anyway, it was a funny experience to meet Imposter Jill (follow the red dot -or was it pink?- lol). We also ordered a lemon ice and watched strangers juggle.

And then of course, who can forget the day-long bike ride we took in the middle of nowhere waiting for Grandma Dee to inflate the tire of Rida's bike. Dreadful. Hot. And fun at the same time. Well, there's really nothing more to recollect. And if there is, I'm sick of typing.
