I finished a shirt this weekend. So, yay, very exciting.
It's for Rob. He's rather hard on his fencing shirts, but I don't actually see much evidence until the shirt is unwearable. Apparently, he doesn't much believe in mending.
I finished boning the interlining, having determined the bodice/mock-up works. Today, I get to cut the wool felt/linen/silk layers. Woot.
When buying my fabric for SCA, I typically get dress-lengths of 5-6 yards. For some reason, this piece has 8 1/6 yards. I can only assume I got what was left on the roll.
Oh, the trim... it's actually a pale copper, not gold. It refuses to be photographed as it truly is:/ Also, the place I ordered it from no longer sells trim. Sorry.
