Van Wilder is one of my favorite movies, but it became even more enjoyable once i went back to school because i could understand wonderful interpersonal dynamics like this one:
aka how i felt in pharmacy school when no one could drink during our P1 year
aka how i felt when they would play some late-90s song at the bar, like "If You Had My Love" by J-Lo (before she was even called J-Lo), and my classmates would make comments like "omggg i remember when i was in sixth grade and they played this song at our school dance!!!"
and i would be all "......"
because I requested it at my senior prom, at which time it had only been on the radio for 3 weeks.
aka how Ryan Reynolds feels about conversations with his wife about anything that happened prior to 2005.
(i know their age difference isnt really that bad, but when you look at things this way it's kind of odd to think about - like hey, it's 2002. im playing a 26-yr-old college student in a movie and my future wife is learning algebra and growing boobs)

also best quote of the day: the scene with the pajama party is on where Van is wearing a women's nightie. My brother comes into the room and goes, "why is Deadpool wearing a dress?" hahahaha
