arboretum renovations FROM HELL
OMIGOD I AM GOING TO DIE. :x
they are redoing the arboretum. it's a project that they've been fundraising for since i was in college and they finally started late last month. they already knocked down half the building and there is a giant hole there. the rest of the building is a historically noted landmark or something so they're just updating the electricity and plumbing so it doesnt suck anymore. also they hired some guy who used to design habitats for the Bronx & San Diego Zoos to build a new inside thing that will be more comfortable for the animals and easier to clean for me. yay, right?
well guess who has been spending hours and hours every day moving the fucking animals to a tiny-ass trailer 200 yards away from the building??? (read: the tanks are heavy. i am small.) and guess who has only a tiiiiny bathroom sink to fill big fish tanks and turtle tanks and water bowls?? (*fill tiny bowl, dump in larger bucket, repeat FOREVER*) and guess whose allergies are DRIVING HER INSANE??? (yay autumn.) not to mention i've been held up at babysitting later than normal EVERY DAY this week so far.
so if i seem MIA, this is why.
will i make it to Europe next week???? HAHAHAHAHAHA yeah, but let's hope i have some time to pack clothes and shit to bring along.
