[just crosses his arms in front of his chest. panic and guilt and a heavy dose of self-loathing.]

[pauses as he's about to say something, but reconsiders]

Why don't you change. Alice should have something for you.

[looks down at his clothes, then just. nods. and. goes to do that.]

[busies himself with making tea in their kitchen while Conrad is changing]

[comes out holding his old clothes, not entirely sure where to put them]

[notices that Conrad's still carrying them]

You can set them anywhere for now.

[starts to say something, then busies himself with putting the clothes somewhere on the floor instead, trying to avoid the subject as long as possible]

[when you are done, you will be handed a mug of tea]

I know it seems rather pointless, but it's become a bit of a tradition. It's mean to be calming, and the aroma's strong enough that we see some of the effects. A friend of ours gave it to us around the events of last year.
