Government Bullshit
State governments which say "The economy is too bad of shape right now to reconstruct our tax structure" are wrong in my opinion. Taxes are one of the reasons why we have this problem. Now is a perfect time to restructure our tax system in this country, in states every where the people generally feel the tax system is inefficient, unfair, imprudent and obtrusive.
Federally, I say we need a flat tax. Ten percent of every dollargoes to fund the federal government. Everyone pays the same. At the same time, government has got to control spending and cut extant, bullshit programs of which most folks in general are unaware. And then I would say that the president's cabinmet needs to be restructured. Cut the department of Interior, and move the faculties of the current DoI to other Departments. My guess is that most folks have no idea what the Dept of the Interior deals with. Indian Affairs for instance, is a bureau in the DoI. So I would say make Indian Affairs it's own department. Let the Indians do what they want. Reconfigure the Department of Energy and the Dept of Agriculture into the Department of Natural Resources Managment.
