QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS MEME, taken from Ken and others! I was asked 5 questions each by two friends, which I will now answer honestly! If you would like me to ask you questions, feel free to ask me too in the comments!!

1. What's your first memory?
My memories are extremily fuzzy and fragmentary (read, repressed) all the way up till age 15. That said, I have scattered memories, and I think the oldest is myself around age 3 or so playing with a toy construction vehicle digging up legos as 'dirt'. That's the oldest memory I can place.
2. How did you get into RPing?
This is a very, very long story. It starts around 1999/2000 on gundam wing fansites. These all had message boards and I'd always dick around in the random subforums, posting in open roleplay threads as an OC doing random bullshit. Total gary stu crap, but it was a blast. Eventually that kind of evolved into more serious roleplay in longer lasting games with serious characters, and I was always kind of considered one of the best for the fact that my posts where always complete sentence paragraphs. Yeah, it was that kind of sad.
Eventually that would evolve into AIM RP, where I played mostly G-boys, Heero and Duo, and sum Cloud Strife and a few other random stragglers. (I also started playing Amuro shortly after, but heh not as well)
Then came the dark days and the empire. Well no, but I just stopped RPing altogether after a few thread-based games died, and was out of the whole hobby from what must have been 2002/2003 all the way up to 2009, when I joined Amatomnes... (To be continued~)
3. When/where did you and Bree meet to become friends?
Bree and I first met at Sac-Anime, a bianual Sacramento Anime convention. I was already good friends with one of Bree's college friends/roomies, and I met Bree by proxy as a cosplay buddy. Actually our first meeting was under less than ideal circumstances, just days after my breakup when the dust was still settling on that, but we talked through aim and quickly became pretty close freinds. She mentioned she roleplayed, and I used to RP myself, so we had a few things in common. She was a total bro the whole time, and since then has always totally had my back from behind the scenes, more or less. In short, Bree's awesome and I totally owe her a lot!
4. What's your biggest model-related disaster?
Oh man, biggest disaster? That's hard, I've been modeling for over ten years now. My earliest kits where all complete disasters, I tried to use standard commercial paint pens for them and it was a terrible, terrible idea. But I lived, learned, ect. The disasters that count, not part of my own inexperience?
Perfect Grade Gundam- When spraying some of the parts, other parts where too close and got spray on them too, causing me to have to repaint several parts.
Perfect Grade Wing Zero- Wing mechanism broke, forcing me to make repairs. Same overspray problem as above. feathers made of rubber, paint wild not adhere, repeated layes of paint made a fragile 'case' around the feathers. they're no longer bendible but are at least painted, but any movement will destroy the paint, making me paranoid about it.
Eventually the white finish on both of them was discored enough from dust that I removed all of the white armor parts and repainted them. They've both been total disasters from the getgo, but in the end manage to look good. Remember that these are $200 plus model kits, so any failure with them was 3x more frustrating.
Most recent disaster was Graham's overflag. completely finished kit, but the clear sealant spray wasn't mixed properly and discolored the whole thing. I was able to salvage by repainting some of it, cleaning other parts, and putting about 5 more layers of clear spray to hide the miscolored parts. The finished result looks fine but has a 'textured' orange peel like finish, which is a technical disaster, but overall acceptable enough for me to not bother fixing. It looks fine, but it would be laughed out of any technical contests. XD
I've also had times with other models where parts disintegrated due to paint thinner, parts where lost or destroyed, paint application messed up, but they where all cheaper kits that I was able to fix or replace. At this point, there's not much disaster wise I can't recover from.
5. If time/money were no object, who would you cosplay?
Some of the more complex costumes from Super Robot Wars, probably. Maybe a character with heavy armor? Parn from Record of Lodoss War would be fun. :|a Most of my dream costumes I just need to work out more for though, and are not so much expensive as I need to do a lot of work to feel like I'd do them right. for example, Cloud Strife.

1. What first got you into Gundam, and into mecha series in general?
Well, as a small child I used to watch transformers on TV every weekend, and catch robotech whenever I could. Later on I got into a line of toys called 'technozoids', which I didn't know at the time where actually import versions of "Zoids", which would later get an anime. That was my first exposure to 'mech model kits', and damn did I love that to peices. Litterally. It was YEARS before I found something as entertaining to me.
when that happened? It was a Gundam wing model kit. I remembered putting together kits like that, and the mech definitely appealed to me. I made a major effort to track down and watch what it was from (I did not have cable at the time). In the meantime, I cought a showing of Macross II, and remembered that from bits of robotech. I ended up watching Wing, Endless Waltz and first Gundam on VHS. I then found an anime version of Zoids- those toys from when I was but a lad, and from there went on a crusade through the internet to find out EVERYTHING about mecha anime, and watch EVERY SHOW THERE EVER WAS. This was around 2000 or so, and there's been no stopping me ever since.
2. If Ken and I invited you to come and have dinner with us next time we're in the area, would you?
EASY QUESTION. The answer is HELLZ FUCKING YES. Heck, I'd go out to the area on a thin excuse just to meet and chill with you guys and also Meg.
3. What's your favorite non-mecha series?
I actually have a few of these, but probably Slayers would be my other biggest oldest anime fandom. Resident Evil is also HUGE for me, but that's not really an anime or anything. I'm also a big fan of Record of Lodoss war, Lupin III, Tenchi Muyo, and a few other non mecha series, but mecha does tend to be the majority.
4. Who or what brought you to Amat?
BREEPANTS. See the above bree related question. She mentioned she RPed, and I said I used too. And having just broken up and having nothing to really do and a real need for human interaction, joining a big bustling game and retouching an old hobby seemed just the thing to do. When she said it was an 'ahem' sex game, I just lol'd and said that as a writer, it was just another challenge and boldly took it up. And I've been here ever since, a good year later. And uh, I still never have apped Ohgi for her. |D
5. What would you most like to do sometime in your life?
Most like to do? That's a hard question almost. I live day to day, and broad planning doesn't come very naturally. I'd love to travel a lot, and god, going into space would be MY DREAM. And sappy as it is, I'd like to get married at some point in my life, but XD that's just fffffft.
Mostly though, I'm more about having AWESOME experiences as often as possible then having one big thing I feel I NEED to do. Not a good answer, but it's wut I got!
