DO!
Each day I've vowed to put my DO thoughts on LJ. But each day I've either been too busy or too tired and lazy. But here we go.
Overall, it is as good a time as I have had at any event. Also, this is the first event I've attended twice. But then again I pride myself on being sure I work hard at having a good time. Here are some rememberances.
*My cabin mates outside having early happy hour as I was arriving. The fact that it was before noon only makes me realize that these are my people.
*Friday night I worked real hard trying to reclaim my title as "Wheel of Destiny Whore." But it was not to be. I tried to jump line a couple times but people were giving me nasty looks.
*Several people during the weekend asked me how long I'm going to call myself New Brian. I tried to explain the origin of the name. I don't think most people understood. I'll be New Brian until the people who gave me the name decide it no longer works.
*I had three very fun dungeon scenes. I played with a different top each time. Each scene was truly unique and wonderful. Since all these people read my LJ, I hope they had even a fraction of the fun I did.
*Quote of the weekend. It was during the middle of a scene. Between my screams the top says, "It must be Christmas in September, because you sound like Santa Clause." Those who have heard these screams know what I'm talking about.
*Pre-lunch canings are seeming to become a camp tradition.
*The Sunday night outdoor scene was cuisinartiste 29th birthday present. God only knows what I'll have to do on her 30th. I'm guessing I should be frightened.
*This was cuisinartiste and I first event since we've been together. It was fun to watch her have own fun independent of me. I was warned by some good friends that this part of the relationship might be difficult for a couple who hasn't been together that long. But we're making it work. It's exciting and satisfying. And we had our together fun also.
*When I'm at camp I forget for just a few days about the outside world. I have few walls up and feel comfortable showing the side of me that few people see. That is special and unique.
*94 days until Winter Fire, and if LR starts when I think it will (Wed. June 21st?)we can start the countdown of 267 days.
