The past is full of interesting things. Memories can be sparked by such small irrelevant items.

A forgotten poem

I was never one to save things from the past. I've always looked to the future without trying to look back very hard.
Sometimes however, you need to remember the past to see not only how far you've come, but how blessed you have been.
How great a shame it would be to live a life you couldn't fondly remember. That's not to say you shouldn't have regrets, or painful times. But that you should strive to find blessings even in your pain and regret.
I will strive to make each day a blessing on the rest of my life, to find ways to remember my past in a way that reminds me how fortunate and how loved I have been, and to be a blessing unto others where my path rests with theirs.
