Did I ever mentioned that I love snow?
Well, I *love* snow. Especially here, where the snow makes the town look like something out of a disgustingly cute and cheesy Christmas card. And especially when I get two snow days in a row -- right before a four-day weekend -- and get to play in the snow three days in a row. Erika and I made a snowlady (her name was Suzie) and one wall of an igloo. Our other friends did not join us in our endeavors because they are, verily, lame-ass poopyheads.
In other news: quotes! We haven't had these in a while, have we? The amount of quotes I have has increased significantly since I started taking Middle Eastern History this semester with Mr. L.
"Jet black hair, moustache, beards --"
"Even the men?"
"Yes. Even the men."
--Ish, Mr. L, Ish, discussing how Middle Easterners look stereotypically
"As long as there's violence involved, physical contact is okay." -- Mr. L (context on demand)
"It's not fair! You hate me!"
"No, it's fair."
--Peter, Mr. L
"What's American food?" "Steak, hamburger, steak. That's a sandwich." -- Someone, Sara E.
"How can you tell if it's love or lust?" "By the way he's humping." -- Coach J in health class, Tariq
Now, off to watch the Olympics. Hope that they have something interesting on tonight, like figure skating, and not the kind of sport that is interesting only if someone crashes.
PS: Books I'm reading right now:
Brideshead Revisited
Eva Luna
The Code of the Woosters
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
Getting $125 in Barnes and Noble gift cards for your birthday is AWESOME.
ETA: Holy shit! It's snowing AGAIN!
