Physics is Physics and Calculus is Calculus. Profs are not profs. Names are not names. Elitists bastards though they might be, the have their name for a reason (especially Math, recently). Set aside what you think about other people, about the campus, and about the buildings. You make campus life what you want it to be. You make the best of your room. But you don't have as much sway over the quality of your education. At least, change doesn't come as easily. Is the experience there your ideal college experience? Do you feel your professors are adequately preparing you? Do you think MTSU is preceived well among the physics community for further study? Find out acceptance rates for grad school (if that's your intent) from MTSU. It's a respectable school. But Vanderbilt is too. They liken themselves to Harvard (smug pricks...sorry). It's a good school, and a pretty campus.
