The Limits To Final Fantasy Debate

Jan 15, 2007 17:26

Ok so I have a pretty neat debate topic that was inspired by my good friend (wakka_luver), so I owe him one for the topic. We had a very brief conversation regarding the upcoming Final Fantasy games of the future. In our conversation I was informed that Final Fantasy 13 is in the making, along with a handful of other Final Fantasy games. Here is where the debate kicks in. In your opinion are the creators going overboard in making so many Final Fantasy games? If you think they are making a tad bit too many, what number should they (or should have) stop at? Should they start a brand new series of a game which could be a success like Final Fantasy?

To be honest when FFX first came out I never dreamed of a FF 11, or a 12 coming out. I mean I didn't mind it or anything, but even I have to admit that the number is getting pretty high. Not to mention I would be really freaked out if they stopped at unlucky number 13. As for my opinion I think FF12 was worth the creation. Great storyline, cool characters, it is basically made up of all the elements a "good" Final Fantasy game has. At the rate they are going now I suppose they might as well go to number 15. Stopping at 13 or 14 would be somewhat weird in my opinion. And if they do go over 15 then...I hope it is a hundred times better because that is probably a risky move. I guess we shall all wait and see.

So what do you think?

Oh yeah and the next topic I am posting should be about Mako, I just need to gather my thoughts and theories regarding it. ^.^;
