The FF7 one is Reminiscence and Shadows and the FF8 one is Through the Looking Glass

I put them in my writing journal, but I still wanted to post the updates for the FF7 one. ...and the soda that came up my nose when I thought this one up still hurts and it makes me wonder what the hell I have been taking? In short, it ends on a hilarious note, but starts serious.

She had calmed down significantly after waking up with a lot of protesting, and if they stick one more thing in her flesh, then there would be some fierce words.

... That is if she remembered any.

That was another frustration she had been dealing with: She can't understand any vocal noise these people are making, and she can't remember how to make some of her own to express her pain and anger.

In fact, the only thing that she could do is lay still and move her eyes around.

What she saw didn't give her much information either. The light made it feel like that there is something stabbing into her eyes, and the only thing that she can see clearly is if only someone or something leaned in near her face.

Right now, she saw another slender face, feminine with light hair cropped to frame her jaw line. It is rather a short cut and she appeared to be wearing a dark suit with a dark tie with a light color undershirt.

At this time, she couldn't really identify color either.

She really wanted to say something, she really wanted to ask her questions, she really wanted to even move something, but only became extremely upset because her body is not doing anything. She can only watch and is at the mercy of others. It's a feeling that she really despised.

Then the slender woman reached out her hand and gently moved her finger on her cheek and then pull it away to rub what she had wiped off.

She found herself on the verge of giving up.

=====================================================

Elena stood up strait and kept rubbing her index finger against her thumb to wipe away the tear that she had scraped off the side her this girl's face.

This was proof to her that the girl is at least mentally aware of what is going on. However the muscles in her body are in a extreme state of atrophy that she found it hard to believe if she had not seen it for herself that this girl had the physical strength to even move a finger that caught Reno's attention.

Elena's professionalism kept her from outwardly expressing sympathy and pity for this girl as she focused her attention on writing down notes for their report.

Her simple and strait to the point style of writing got her nominated among her team to write the reports on every mission and work very closely with the President and Tseng when it comes for briefings for missions.

Aside from President Rufus, she is well educated and book smart, but somehow lacked street smarts to a minor extent. Reno and Rude had been good instructors for that subject.

Elena averted her gaze to observe this girl make an attempt to yawn. Then turn to see who was opening the door to enter the room.

Reno walked in casually and calmly to hand Elena some files.

"Thanks," She said softly and started looking over them.

Reno in the meantime looked at the girl that they found. "So what do you think?"

Elena nodded her head, "Take a look."

Reno took a few steps closer to get a better look.

As soon as she sensed someone approaching her, she averted her gaze towards that direction. She couldn't really see clearly but she still kept trying.

From a distance of a few feet, Reno got a good look at her eyes; glowing a bright teal green, and towards the outer edges is a bright shade of purple that faded towards her pupils. As for the rest of her complexion, she is still white as a ghost with her skin untouched from the light of the day for who knows how long. Her hair is also a ghost white even though she is very youthful in age.

He was quick to acknowledge that this girl possessed a high intelligence and is not at all mindless like the other clone survivors who wore black cloaks and constantly chanted something about a 'reunion' to the point that they didn't care to take care of themselves and either disappeared or didn't eat until they starved.

As soon as she identified that there is someone else there she tried to say something, but nothing happened. Only a slight change in her expression as she made every effort that she could.

Reno stepped back. "Why isn't she talking?" He quietly asked.

Elena shrugged. She really didn't know. As she read more of the reports that Reno gave her, it is very clear that she has Jenova cells inside her. So much of it in fact that her body is able to produce more, as if she is Jenova herself. Elena made a guess on the possibility that this could be a Jenova clone, not a Sephiroth clone. This girl is too much aware to be a Sephiroth clone.

Come to think of it, there is only one Sephiroth 'clone' who survived over the years and he is still pissed off at them and for what the company has done to him. However, the term 'clone' is applied loosely. He was born and grew up with his own unique genetic code and was later altered to mirror the fallen hero. This other survivor looks like himself, but on the inside, he has similar abilities that Sephiroth once had before he was ultimately defeated three years ago and again recently when he reappeared briefly.

Elena hated to do this, but wrote down as a side note that it may be a good idea to contact this other survivor to figure out what to do with this girl.

Marlene and Denzel could not hold back a few coughs as they had to work together to get an old trunk open. They were already given permission to do this and were trusted not to steal anything.

Marlene wanted to grab a few hand held gardening tools since she had started a project of her own when she figured out how to get the flower seeds from the old abandoned church in what used to be in the sector 6 slums in Midgar. She had been eager to do this since there had been a recent battle and the garden that used to be there is now covered in a pool of curing waters.

People are still traveling to this pool to cure their loved ones of a horrible and fatal disease of geostigma.

Denzel dug deeper into the chest and Marlene stood up strait to get a better look. She had never felt so happy that her best friend is one of those who had been cured, and he's back to being active and healthy again. She's even happy that Cloud is back to his old self again too.

He leaned in so much into the chest that his whole weight was supported on the front part of it. Finally he was able to reach down and grab a handful of fabric. What he was planning on doing was pulling them out of the chest to get them out of the way and keep looking, but it appeared to be stuck on something.

Marlene reached over and grabbed the red fabric while Denzel kept a grip on the soft purple and light blue fabric and both started to pull.

"Hey, careful. That's Aerith's old stuff." Barret walked over when he saw the kids having trouble finding what they were looking for.

"It's stuck and we need to get it out of the way." Denzel eased on the fabric so that it wasn't taut.

Barret reached over. "Let me see."

Marlene and Denzel stepped aside to let her father look into the chest and found that the fabric had been wrapped around a heavier object. As soon as he pushed it aside, the fabric was free to be pulled out with ease.

Tifa looked over to the other side of the main living area of Cid's place while the three of them had been looking in the trunk. She is currently in the kitchen looking over some recipes that Red brought with him from Cosmo Canyon. She is trying to make some of their famous cocktails, and Cid and Barret had 'graciously' volunteered to test her first attempts until she gets it right so that she can make more to sell in her bar.

Marlene had separated the pieces of fabric to reveal three dresses. "Are these Aerith's dresses?"

Tifa looked over when Marlene asked that question. She identified the light blue one right away. "I've been looking for that. That's mine."

Marlene then held up the red one. "And this?"

Tifa nodded while she remained focused on measuring the ingredients. "That was her's."

Denzel lifted up the purple one, "What about this one?"

Tifa quickly realized that she had added too much of one ingredient, because of the memory of what happened to bail her out of a potentially bad situation. Looking back on it still amuses her greatly.

She put the bottle down. She pretended to be figuring out how to mix additional ingredients to compensate for her mess up. It was better to have too much of a drink than to have one that didn't taste right.

It gave her enough time to think of an answer, "I don't remember."

"Yeah, right." Barret took the purple dress from Denzel to take a good look at it. "Care to try again?" He obviously implied to her that he knew that she is lying.

This time Tifa was able to get her expression in a coy demeanor. "I really don't remember." She managed to look at him in the eye for an extended moment until she went back to mix the drinks.

"Uh-huh." Barret said in disbelief and took another look at this dress. It has long sleeves and a red sash that goes around the waist. The purple fabric is a shimmering silk and apparently of a high quality. Then he gently picked up a strand of blonde hair.

"... Wait a sec.. is this...?"

Tifa could not hold back anymore and busted out laughing. She couldn't tell what was funnier, the fact that it belonged to Cloud when he was talked into infiltrating a whore house to get her out, or the fact that Barret just figured out enough for himself to make a few guesses.

Before Barret allowed himself to jump to conclusions, he at least wanted to know more about what the hell is so damn funny. Also, he didn't want to make the wrong assumption, no matter how funny it may be. At the same time, he didn't want to make an ass of himself it those assumptions turned out to be completely wrong.

Cid walked in and only caught Tifa laughing herself to tears. "The fuck...?"

Barret looked at Cid and shrugged while passing the dress over to him.

Cid honestly didn't get the joke and now Red is looking over from the couch to find out what was going on.

Tifa knew that she is in trouble. As soon as Cloud finds out, he's going to get pissed. Maybe if she stalled until he gets here she can honestly say that she didn't say a word. That may be the best bet to save her ass. "Give me a few drinks and I'll tell ya."

She handed Barret and Cid two tall glasses and the third glass was the extra amount when she had to improvise she kept for herself.

Denzel and Marlene looked at each other and shrugged. They didn't get the joke but at least they got what they needed and put the rest of the items away.
