Cloud v.s. Squall and Seifer Debate
The major debate topic today at the student hall was very intense, yet fun. The issue was can Cloud defeat Seifer and Squall teamed up. I know some of you are probably thinking right now, what type of bonehead question is that, but it something worth thinking about. In a sense it’s some what hard to debate this fight; the reason is because what we saw in Advent Children. Nobody was expecting the stunts we witnessed in that movie not that I’m saying it was bad movie or anything like that, I loved it. But I think some of the stunts were a bit much, like when they tossed Cloud up in the sky to reach Bahamut, that was a bit hard to believe, but hey that's another story. Anyway what I'm saying is we saw what the fighters in Final Fantasy 7 are capable of, but have no idea who well the ones in Final Fantasy 8 would do. Obviously the skills Squall and Seifer displayed in the beginning cut scene of Final Fantasy 8 would have been futile against those displayed by Cloud in AC. However, both Squall and Seifer gained more skills as the game progressed.
My answer in this debate is simply no, I don't believe Cloud can defeat both Seifer and Squall at the same time, I just don't see it. Just like Cloud, Squall has an attack very similar to Omnislash which is known as Lionheart, so even Squall alone would give Cloud a hard time. But as we all know, Seifer is stronger then Squall anyway...even though we don't see him perform a limit break like Lionheart. Seifer is basically stronger then Squall one way or the other, but I believe Squall is some what faster. His limit break Bloodfeast is very deadly, and to be honest it's my personal favorite. But even though Cloud displayed some awesome skills in the movie, I just think he would be overwhelmed by the combined strength of Squall and Seifer. The only factor that makes this debate more difficult is the fact that there is no FF8 movie, meaning we have to rely on our imagination to decide how well Seifer and Squall can perform. Heh, Cloud and the others surprised us all in the movies, who knows what the fighters in FF8 can do. ;)
