Who Can Defeat Who?
Ok so I decided to post a different kind of debate topic for today. And I have a hunch that this will be one of the most intense topics ever posted. I just finished watching Advent Children again and I was wondering if certain characters were to fight, who would the winners be? Well below I posted 5 matches that I feel would have been awesome to see. Here is where the debate kicks in. For each match I mentioned below, I would like for you to please express who you feel would be the winner. Some matches you may find to be pointless, but I’m sure at least one of them will be pretty hard to answer. Underneath the list of battles I have posted my opinions about who would be the winners. With all of that said…let’s have some fun!

1. Tifa V.S. Yuffie
2. Reno V.S. Rude
3. Vincent V.S. Yazoo
4. Tifa V.S. Rufus Shinra
5. Cid V.S. Red 13
1.A battle between Tifa and Yuffie would be so awesome! They are both quick on their feet, so choosing a winner isn’t going to be easy. But I see Tifa coming out on top in this match. Yuffie fighting style seems to be very long-ranged, meaning she will do what ever it takes to keep her opponent away from her. If Tifa were to bypass Yuffie’s weapon, then I’d imagine she would deliver some combos to Yuffie. Then again, Yuffie is a ninja, so she’ll most likely have some kind of plan to deal with a hand-to-hand fighter like Tifa. Nevertheless, I see Tifa being the victor.
2.Lol, now this battle would be very interesting, no doubt some humor would be involved, but I digress. When it comes to skills, Reno and Rude are mirror images of each other. Reno is much faster then he is stronger, and Rude is much stronger then he is faster. So in order to choose a possible winner, it all depends on your personal opinion on which is better, strength or speed. I’m going to have to go with speed, so yeah…Reno would most likely win in my eyes. But do you know what’s weird? In the game, Rude’s HP and level are always higher then Reno’s, indicating Rude as the superior fighter. However, Elena is shown to have much more HP then Reno and Rude…and her level is higher. But Still, I see Reno being the winner.
3.Ok I’ll get straight to the point about this battle. I see Yazoo winning this fight. Vincent is awesome and very crafty, but let’s face it…Yazoo is a tad bit craftier. Then again, Yazoo gets most of his combos with the help of Loz. No doubt Vincent would get some good shots in, and hurt Yazoo pretty bad…but I see Vincent losing. Wait hold it…Vincent is immortal, right? That would mean no amount on ammo would kill him, unlike Yazoo, who is mortal. So…maybe Yazoo WOULD lose! :S That battle is pretty hard to decide. I need more help deciding that one, lol.
4.Many of you are probably thinking Tifa would win…but I’m going with Rufus. Some say Rufus is only skilled with firearms and not hand-to-hand, but I find this to be false. The fact that he dodged Kadaj’s attack with ease, (which was faster then Tifa’s attacks) shows us that he has some kind of experience with close combat. Plus Geostigma was even holding him back. It’s not like he would run away if he ran out of ammo or anything. In FF7: BC, they say he was the head of the Turks or some kind of gang, so I’d imagine he went through the same training program as Reno did. Turks are trained to expect the unexpected, meaning if their weapon was to get damaged or anything; they are trained to use their natural fighting skills to win. It’s important to keep in mind that the battle Tifa had with Loz is somewhat hard to relate with. Even though Tifa was fast, and seemd to have been kicking butt…Loz allowed her to hit him most of the battle. Some punches threw Loz of guard, but other then that…he was pretty much toying with her. Nevertheless, Tifa displayed incredible skills. But as for Rufus, I can see him jumping pretty high in the air like Reno; carrying spare handguns in his coat if his shotgun runs out of bullets combined with his speed…oh yeah, Tifa would have a hard time taking him down.
5.Ok so maybe this isn’t the most exciting battle, but it’s still one to think about. From what I have seen, Red 13 is very fast and aggressive, which shouldn’t be a really a shocker to anybody. He was always one of my favorite characters to use in the game, so he did kick major butt. Even though his attacks were futile against Bahamut they were still quite deadly. As for Cid, he seems to be very precise in his attacks. He knows when and where to attack an opponent. But he lacks the speed he might need to keep up with Red 13. Hitting Red 13 with his spear won’t be easy, so I’ll have to say that Red 13 would win that battle.
