What Is Your Limitbreak?
Today I am in a very imaginative mood, which is why I decided to post a different kind of entry for today. I was just playing Final Fantasy 7 again and I was thinking to myself "who comes up with the names for some of these limitbreaks?" Aren't these names so cool? (warning long post with me babbling and stuffs to help me think out the answer, go to the bottom for the conclusion ^^;)
Hmm... no fighting whatsoever, but I do have actual small firearms training (I have a cop for a fiance, remember?) As for old fashioned melee weapons, I'm actually quite comfortable with a short staff. Though if you put me in a sparing match, I find that my eyes keep forcing themselves closed when I anticipate an impact of any kind. So that would make it really bad on my form. So I'm going to have to resort to ranged weapons.
As for magic skills, well I would have to look at what I belive in, faith wise. Although some spell 'magic' with a 'k', I belive that there is a lot more to it than just spelling it funny. Meditation of the elemental forces around you, using avalable resources. (I was raised in witchcraft and I still belive in it. The tradition is called 'Urse' which is not really known to many, email me for details if interested)
Anywho, based on what I belive and how I was raised, I would say that I would be a magic user more than a fighter.
However, my personality doesn't always gives a shit to every dick or jane who is injured. In fact, if I get too pissed off... it will take a lot of convencing to not leave your ass bleeding on the street. But if I must, then I will... with lots of protest. The reluctant healer, so that is not for me.
But with fire power well... hehe.... I guess my job class would be more of a attack magic user than melee fighter.
So that leaves me to choose between a 'black mage' or ... what I have been facinated in, 'blue mage' ... I would choose to be a 'blue mage' using a ranged weapon.
Now for a limit break ... well, my RL skills are more virtual in nature (if you can say that...). Programming, computer hardware, etc. Which, is pretty useless in realworld combat, so I would think either Quistis' limit breaks, or... use a Shadorun/Matrix online reference and use the actual damaging effects of virtural interaction. Obviously this doesn't physically attack but I'm sure that it would severely debuff, ("I got naked pictures of you and that seceratary, so bow down to me," blackmail materail / or "I know about your deal, and you just lost your account and all funds are transferred to me.", etc)... Maybe I should be 'cute' and code name it 'sidewinder'.
I don't think that I would be a 'main' character but I would be the type that makes things happen, so I would be a support character.
Okay, I'm blabbing long enough.... so here's a nutshell:
Weapon - Small Fire Arms (i.e. handguns)
Class - Blue/Black mage
Profession - coder
Limit - Virtual hacker attack codenamed, 'Sidewinder' that causes sever debuffs on the enemy
Although, I would like to redye my long thick hair electric blue for this and maybe reink my wrist tatoo (It kinda faded with the sunlight) and finally get off of my butt to get another piercing (four in each ear ISN'T enough ^^;)

LOL! I don't blame you. The idea of healing the same people that can't even defend themselves would be a pain, especially if they continue to rely on you.
Yeah an attack magic user fighters are clever. So I'd imagine that your weapons would have all of these neat status effects as well, like poison and blind. Quistis' limit breaks do kick butt, very good choice indeed. She has such a wide variety of skills, it's amazing. I use to compare Quistis's Blue Magic with Selphie's limit breaks...but I think Quistis takes the gold in that situation.
Hey even if you aren't a main character, I would love to have you on my squad, lol. We'd kick some butt. :P
