Heidegger's Hustle Take Over Debate
So yeah today is my birthday, and I’m on my way to a dinner party with my family. Nevertheless, I decided to do a quick update, seeing as how I love this community and the loyal and awesome members within it. I won’t be able to reply to your comments tonight, but defiantly tomorrow morning. Oh and don’t worry

My topic involves the hustle takeover of The ShinRa Company by Heidegger after Rufus is presumed dead. I was playing that part again a few nights ago and Heidegger was saying how he “couldn’t reach the president,” after the tower was hit. Then Scarlet and Reeve were convincing him to focus more on the Sister Ray, then the scene switched over to Cloud, then back to the Heidegger. In this scene, he says “The president is dead…I’m doing things my way now!”
My debate question for today is did Heidegger send somebody to go check for a body, or did he automatically assume Rufus was dead? At first I thought it he tried to get to him, but noticed the 70th floor wasn’t accessible at the time, so he merely confirmed him as dead. But if he did really send somebody, or he went himself to check, wouldn’t he have encountered Rufus who was either unconscious on the 69th floor? Rufus did say “he managed to escape the building before it collapsed on him.” I doubt Rufus could have gotten to far, he probably crawled down one floor, and then fainted. I doubt Heidegger would plan a takeover, knowing there was a possibility Rufus was still alive, he’s obviously afraid/intimidated of Rufus. Or, he might have found Rufus on the ground had a few solider grunts move him to a different room for a cover up.

After reading all of the post in this community pertaining to Rufus, and his health in Advent Children, I will be doing my very own Rufus Conclusion before this week is out. All of your awesome points and views have really impacted my opinion and I am grateful to you guys. I just have to post my new opinion to get if off my chest, it’s been on my mind for a while. Sorry if I keep brining the topic up, it’s just something have too do. Hopefully you will enjoy it.
