Final Fantasy Gaiden

Do any of you recall that April Fool's joke about Final Fantasy Gaiden? I just found out about it a few days ago. Apparently, Squaresoft would create the first ever sequel to a Final Fantasy game (Final Fantasy VIII) entitled Final Fantasy Gaiden. They even released an edited battle scene between Seifer, Fujin, Raijin, and several tonberries. Here's the battle scene with Seifer Fujin and Raijin. If Gaiden was real, Seifer and his posse would have been the main characters. The story would be based on Seifer's redemption after the sorceress war and end of Final Fantasy VIII. By the looks of things, I would assume that Seifer was trying to do some side missions to earn his place back in Garden, just my opinion.

Quite frankly, I thought that would have been a HUGE seller. Being a major Seifer fan, I would have tried my best to get my hands on this game. Even though it was a mere April Fool's joke, it would have been nice to have actually considered making that game. In my eyes, they wasted a perfect opportunity to make a really awesome game that would have given them endless amounts of money. I'm sure there could have been a better way to make a game joke then use a continuation of FF8 that was just cold.

I have a quick question for you guys. I was told that Seifer's gunblade suffered damage while he was a boss, and that the damage got worse and worse after each battle. Did any of you notice that? I didn't. I tried finding a picture of Seifer in his stance as a boss, but I had no luck. Then somebody had the nerve to tell me that he was not using the Hyperion in the last fight. :S Of course that was the Hyperion, the fact that he cocked his sword while he was talking in Lunatic Pandora proves that.

So what did you think about the clip, and the April Fool's joke, and about Seifer's Hyperion?

P.S. Final Fantasy Cruel Intentions, Chapter 2 will be released on Monday. Sorry for the delay.
