Mako Rufus? New theory
Well as I was doing some more random Advent Children research, I came across this site that posted Rufus Shinra theories. Some people find it hard to believe that a regular human can survive the assault he did. So they came to the conclusion the Rufus either has Mako inside of him, or he has Jenova cells, even after being cured of Geostigma. As you know, those that have Mako within them have green around the eye pupils. Well after looking really closely...I have found images of Rufus Shinra's eyes, and they ARE green! You can find these images in the below lj-cut. Even take a look at the community user info at the Rufus Shinra gun stunt; you can even see that his eyes are green. I promise you that these pictures were not tampered with in any way. So...could it be true? It would explain so many things. Just think about what he done in the movie...can you imagine the FF7 Rufus doing something like that? That would explain the increase in skill, or even how he managed to fight Cloud 1 on 1. So what do you all think?

A: It sure looked like it, didn't it? Anyway, nope, he survived. "How?" you ask? He ducked. No, but seriously, it's probably because he's been infused with mako. Like Cloud, he's got the green glow of mako eyes around his pupils. A lot of people thought it might have something to do with Geostigma, but this is wrong because people talked about Cloud having the glow in the original game, he's got the glow in the FFVII Tech Demo (based before Advent Children), and the only people shown to have the glow in the film are Cloud, Denzel (whose father worked for Shin-Ra), Rufus, Zack, Kadaj, Yazoo, Loz and Sephiroth.

The girl with the moogle plushie (affectionately refered to as "Moogle Girl" does not have the mako eyes glow, so it's not a Geostigma thing. For that matter, both Cloud and Denzel still have the glow after being cured of Geostigma.
