Favorite Final Fantasy Theme/Song
Now we all know that Final Fantasy games give us great battles, scenes and storylines...but they also give us great music. Do any of you think we are so attached to a game character because their music theme gives us a reassurance of how cool they really are? I strongly believe so. So what is your favorite Final Fantasy theme and why? I would be happy to tell you mine. This might sound a bit odd, but I must admit that I have two favorite themes, my first is "The Shinra Coperation," the beat is simply great. At first I hated it because President Shinra was the one who introduced it, and I could not stand his personality. He made that music seem so dark, and obnoxious, it really ruined the feeling of it. My opnion on the song changed when it changed to Rufus' theme. In fact, my favorite Final Fantasy moment is when Rufus Shinra met Cloud along with the rest of Avalanche. The "Shinra Theme" was playing while Rufus walked over to everybody individually, as he made his appointment speech, then he ended it all by flicking his hair, a great moment, indeed. Oh and Cloud was telling everyone to leave while he fights Rufus alone, the song made it feel as though Cloud was not going to survive the fight, lol. I would have never even liked that moment if that song was not playing, it made things tenser.
My second favorite theme song is Griever's theme, from Final Fantasy 8. I'm not sure if any of you will remember what song I am talking about. Do any of you remember when Griever does his ultimate attack "Shockwave Pulsar," and his music changes? Well that is the theme I really love, it really sounds like an "Armageddon" kind of song. I believe it is called "Maybe I'm a Lion," and many fans believe that is Squall's theme. That song really made the match more enjoyable, and intense. My heart was pounding the whole time, I noticed the sky turns crimson red before Griever does his attack, and the music really blends with it all. I know I said I had 2 themes I love, but I would just like to conclude this entry about the love I have for the boss music for Final Fantasy 8, which is called "Force Your way." Not only did that boss music have a great beat, but did any of you notice that it really suited most of the boss monsters? Look at Seifer, his battle stance has a bounce to it, and Seifer seems to almost dance with the boss music of Final Fantasy 8, and I find that pretty cool. It fits just right; I mean I can not imagine Seifer fighting with the boss music for Final Fantasy 7. :P
