The Dance [character event]

Nov 21, 2007 03:36

Who: Yuna [wonderwing] and anyone else.
Where: Deep in the large garden park, elder sibling of the Park of Random Encounters.
When: Wednesday 21st November, 4pm.
Notes: Oh god Yuna really needs plot and friends. ;_; Anyone. Plz. ♥ (If you've played Final Fantasy X, she's doing a Sending dance, except obviously there's no dead people to send.)

All things considered, Yuna felt rather silly. She wasn't a clumsy person, but she wasn't terribly graceful, either, and as she deposited her bag at the base of a nearby tree and walked towards the shore of the lake, she began to wonder if this was really such a good idea. Then again, what was the worst that could happen? She wasn't going to try and summon in public, of course not - this was something different. In the middle of nowhere, Yuna Meyari was going to attempt to dance.

It was a dance that had been described in the literature she had been reading - a dance that only summoners did. Its exact purpose was still unknown to her, but it seemed to be something along the lines of honouring the dead. At any rate, it came up repeatedly, and the texts seemed to imply that not only was knowledge of this dance crucial, but that it could even strengthen her bond with the aeons. So, naturally, she had left home, gone to the most peaceful, natural location she could think of, and was preparing to dance.

She had memorised the steps, but that didn't help her, as she began somewhat clumsily, nearly tripping over herself. She soon recovered, though, and for a time, it seemed to be going well. Her dance was not perfect, but graceful, and she felt a strange sense of -connection?- harmony with -someone?- something. All sense of harmony disappeared, though, when she misjudged the distance between herself and the shore, and in one terrible misstep sent herself tumbling back into the water. It was less than a foot deep, so hardly dangerous, but it was embarrassing. Yuna's cheeks flushed red, her embarrassment intensifying when she looked up to see someone standing nearby.
