Christmas Shopping (event)

Notes: I must admit i'm not feeling particularly creative at this moment, but i'm determined to stick with posting a weekly event, I just wish that this one could be a bit more imaginative. Still, i'm hoping to post another at some point to make up for this one, which is quite similar to the other one. Still, comment? XDDD
Like everywhere else at this time of year, the shopping mall was decked out with Christmas decorations. Tiny fairy lights hung from the elaborate archways, casting tiny golden lights over the shiny tiled floor. Gold and silver tinsel was coiled around the supporting pillars and banisters whilst stores all over had their special offers advertised in the windows, decorated with fake snow and various Christmas lights. Cheery Christmas carols were blaring through the speakers all over the mall. Since it was only a week until Christmas, people were out doing some last minute shopping or simply taking advantage of the offers and needlessly indulging their children who had finished school.
Unfortunately, security was high. Armed police stood at various points in the mall, looking out for any kind of trouble. They were clearly expecting riots, whether it be women causing problems in stores that were having early sales or mutants destroying public property and generally frightening everyone. Their presence was rather intimidating, to say the least.
