Lead and Follow (event)

Aug 12, 2006 20:00

Who: Soren (inallhonesty)
Where: Miscellaneous Dark Street
When: Sunday, August 12th, 9pm
Summary: A demonic follower(/stalker/mugger/serial killer) disrupts one of Soren's relatively rare ventures outside.
Notes: Demons and Soren. What more reason do you need to join? (Well, if you need a reason, try 'saving me from hours of boredom restoring lost files on the computer'.) Oh, and I second panonychus about being sick of only one person per event, more people would be love.

Whatever had been following Soren for the past few blocks certainly hadn't been very subtle about it. He'd been fully aware of the existence of the follower (or stalker, or mugger, or serial killer) for a block and a half, although the only time he'd caught a glimpse of them was when turning a corner, and it hadn't really told him much. (Actually, it hadn't told him anything at all, as the follower/stalker/mugger/serial killer had had the sense to quickly duck behind a conveniently-placed tree.

Still, being followed by something was a bit tiresome, and he was sick of waiting for the idiot to just try and mug/kill him already (how many more dark alleyways did he need to go down before the moron got a clue?), so Soren took action, rather purposefully dropping the dark red leather tome in his hand. Kneeling to pick it up and hearing the footfalls of the follower/etc. approaching, he quickly stood, spinning around to face him or her.

Or it, as it turned out to be; either the follower was a demon, or just exceptionally unfortunate-looking. Given the large rusty blade it was holding, the former seemed much more likely. Well, this changed the situation a bit; muggers were relatively easy to deal with, but demons were a bit more unpredictable. (Well, at least it didn't have a gun.) Taking a step back and readying a Fire spell (sooner or later, he'd learn his lesson and just keep the most powerful spells on him at all times), Soren's eyes narrowed as he regarded his opponent. Well, this should prove to be interesting.
