Are those little airplane streaks on the last one? The whole thing just seems like a beautiful idea. Because I love fall.

I'm going to say those are stars, just at a long exposure time, showing the rotation of the Earth.

I like that cornfield shot. Colors are so spooky and beautiful at night. I'm suprised that there is no blur with such a long exposure - must have been a windless night.

Now that you mention it, there was no wind. That's why the mist could accumulate and spread so slowly.

I'm curious about the location. Is one typically "allowed" to be there at 11pm on a given day; is it a place anyone can go any time? (Can hardly fathom such a thing, these days.) Or is it somewhere you had to be kind of sneaky about?

WMAs are completely legal at night, but as with anywhere, it depends what you are doing.

Gorgeous! A nice departure/contrast to Urbex ... they go hand in hand in a jux kind of way

Our colours in the NYC/upstate area are just starting, another few days before we hit some peaks. Always a joy to watch.

Love the traveling stars in the 23:00 night shot too. Sadly living so close to NYC we never have a dark sky (I remember being amazed as a child when my family went to New Hampshire ... "Mommy, why do they have more stars then we do?"). I'd love to do a time lapse sky set in a truly rural environment.
