Whew

Dang... what a past week and a half it's been. Sorry I haven't updated until now; however, have been extremely busy and really tired. As for the friend from last time... things turned out pretty good... we didn't really know each other too well until then... so when we found out we both played soccer for a long time and all, that really hit things off... played some poker (which, truthfully, I suck at... which is why "penny poker" is good for me... I will only lose a dollar. ;) ), went swimming and all of that fun stuff. Also, life is starting to pick back up... during the summer (and especially during intermins between school) there's no one up here, nothing to do, etc. But, I'm now volunteering for the Red Cross (they need someone here with some computer skills) and have a job at Kroger as a Cashier. "Hi. How are you doing today? Do you have a Kroger Card? Thank you very much and have a great day!" .....yeah. :P lol So, that's currently 2 jobs I have... although my first job, the one at the computer commons, hours are going to be greatly reduced so that I can do this job mainly. (6.15, it pays better) ...and, lets see.... oh, I have 2 credit cards now... both are student credit cards, though, one from MasterCard and the other's from American Express (reason I got that one is because although you have to pay the yearly fee, the benifits more than make up for it. ..and, yeah, I'm careful with my money, still plan to mainly use my Visa debit card)

But, last week I was just way too tired each day to update... after going to work (which is usually a boring job, actually, but not last week) and then to the dojo, I was wiped out and crashed as soon as I got home. (that's another good thing, I actually refer to this place as "home" now) But, I told some people wrong last week, because I didn't know better at the time)... we replaced over 1,000 computers in all of the public computer common areas here on campus... and by replaced I mean we: took the old cpus outside and blew them out, did the same with the monitors, stacked them, sorted them, took them to the other buildings and hooked them up there, cleaned the desks which hadn't seen daylight in 4 years, and then put the new cpu and monitor into place and connected them, added software, etc. ...although, the new computers are NICE... gateways, pretty top of the line, with 21' plasma widescreens. :D ...but, yeah, I did 400+ of those computers all by myself... I was tired. ...and that original joy of getting a new computer and putting it together? ...all gone, forever, I'm going to have someone put together my computers for me from now on. lol

Over the weekend I was best man at a friend's wedding... that was really cool, actually... even if the wedding lasted for 24 minutes (shortest wedding I've ever been to... longest was 3 hours). It was just kinda cool seeing all of it come together and being there for them and all of that. (and, by being there, I meant she bossed us around and told us what to do and where to place everything and all of that, but, it's all cool :) ) Yesterday I helped move some friends from back home up here and helped them get settled into their new place... so, I'm really excited/happy that they're up here... finally there's some people I've known for longer than a year!

Also, I've joined a flag football team for the fall term... sounds pretty cool/fun. ...this weekend I'm going to a SMAC (South Martial Arts, Inc. which does TaeKwonDo) tournament where I'll be competiting in kata (series of set movements) and sparring (point fighting, 1 point per punch, 2 per kick). ...which, truthfully, I'm really looking forward to the sparring... that's going to be awesome... as well as it'll be a good learning experience. There are 2 things here that are different from how we do it in the Dojo, 1. Hits to the face are legal/points and 2. Crotch shots are legal, although not points since it's below the belt. But, it's more realistic that way.. because, no offense... when I get into a fight, I'm going to kick a guy in the nuts if I can, sorry, bub... would rather do that then break his arm, or him hurt me.

...and, yeah, there's probably a fair amount I'm leaving out, but this post is already alot longer than I like. Peace, love, and kittens everyone. (been hanging out with people at the dojo waaay too much ;) lol) ...and, it's 7:40? Time to go to back to bed, I can sleep for another 20 minutes, yay!
