Rosewood Police Department, Friday Night

Sometimes Hanna's rash decision making got her into serious trouble. This was quite possibly the worst trouble she's ever been in.

Her latest mistake resulted in her being lead away from a sorority party in handcuffs as Emily and Spencer looked on helplessly. The other two girls were there to find out some information about 'A.' Hanna joined them later when she found a gun in her mother's closet, believing it was the weapon that murdered Wilden. It wasn't her most brilliant plan ever, but she brought the thing to the party with her at a college in a boring York County town. She certainly made things more exciting when the police caught her trying to bury it.

Obviously, it had been a trap set by 'A.' Hanna fell right into it. She hadn't been thinking clearly for awhile now. All she could think about was her mom and protecting her at all costs. Now, it may cost her freedom.

She knew how dumb this whole thing was now. At the time, though? Logic was a foreign word.

"Who are you trying to protect?" the woman in charge of the Wilden case, Lt. Linda Tanner, asked patiently after telling Hanna how much prison time she could face for carrying a concealed weapon on a college campus. It was seven years, but Tanner didn't really seem to think Hanna was a real criminal. That was something. Unfortunately, Hanna believed her mother was, and so she wasn't talking. Plus, she didn't have a lawyer present.

Instead, she picked apart a styrofoam cup. She'd already turned down coffee. She couldn't think of food or beverages at this time. Her stomach was in knots.

She breathed a sigh of relief when her mother barged into the room. "Shes going home with me now. Her bail is paid."

That was that. Hanna was free to go for now. She just couldn't leave Rosewood for at least a few days while everything got sorted out.

"Why are you here?" Hanna asked incredulously when she saw her father waiting in the station.

"It was my gun you were trying to bury!" Tom Marin replied just as incredulously. "Do you know how much trouble I could be in? They're testing the gun now."

"For what?" Hanna asked nervously, knowing the answer.

"To see if it was the weapon that murdered a police officer." Tom was, understandably, upset. Still, it hurt that all he cared about was himself. Did he even care that Hanna could go to jail for seven years? Or that her mother was in a lot of trouble?

Hanna was feeling wrecked over this. If only she hadn't stolen those sunglasses. Wilden never would have been in their lives. If only she hadn't been so incredibly stupid to think burying the gun was the answer.

She made things incredibly worse. Sure, she could blame 'A' for all of this. The fact is, she fell right into that trap, and now the whole Marin family had to deal with the consequences.
